We at North United Communities provide a wide range of sporting opportunities and experiences for our young people. They range from the traditional and ordinary to the more physically demanding and fun. We are certainly not boring at NUC.
Some of the more familiar sporting activities that we participate in are football, swimming, golf and basketball.
We also participate in some of the more exotic and perhaps less played sports like fencing, capoeira (a combination of Brazilian martial arts, dance and music) obstacle/assault courses and go-karting.
Variety and diversity is something that we specialise in, and during the holidays are likely to organise activities like hill walking, x-country cycling, abseiling and gorge walking – or in fact, any suggested sports activity will be considered.
Exercise and physical activity is a great way to feel better, gain health benefits and have fun. It helps connect you with friends, boosts confidence and self-esteem and combats stress.
It can just be a fun way to spend time. Do it as much as you can.
